The Valley of Levanto: walk, lunch and pesto course
You will Meet your guide at the Levanto railway station and from there you will begin a walk on the beautiful trails with a magnificent view of Levanto, the villages of the surrounding hills and the sea. The vegetation varies: from gardens and vineyards and olive groves to the characteristics plants of Mediterranean scrub to eventually reach chestnut.
You will climb up to 500 meters AMSL and then walk downward to reach one of the picturesque villages where mountains of homemade ravioli and wine are waiting for you in the typical tavern “La Mamma”.
After lunch the descent is fast and easy, you'll be back in an hour or so in Levanto, where you'll find the second highlight of the day: the course for the preparation of pesto. During the lesson you will learn how to make this delicious Ligurian sauce with basil, pine nuts and extra virgin olive oil.
The tour will take place every Tuesday from 15 March until 31 October.
